What if the life you are waiting for is already here?

You don’t have to wait for a special occasion to preserve a special moment.

Sometimes, the memories we want to hold onto are the ordinary ones - a familiar beach, a morning walk, the way your children look at you before the day begins. 

For this custom painting, a mother of two came to me with a very personal idea: to capture what home feels like for her family. She didn’t want a traditional family portrait. She wanted to capture the place that holds so many of their memories: Hong Kong. 

The painting brings together the sandy beaches where she takes her daughters to play, the water beside their home in Park Island, and the sunrise they often watch together in the morning. 

For her, every sunrise also carries the feeling of a new beginning. 

I wanted the painting to hold more than the view itself. I brought together the details that made this place personal to her: her daughters, their home, their everyday rituals, and the feeling she associates with them. 

That is what makes a custom painting different.

A custom painting begins with a place, but it is really about what that place means to you. It might be a favourite beach, a city where your family grew up, or simply a view you never want to forget. 

Years from now, the girls may not remember every morning by the water.

But they’ll still be able to return to it - through a painting created from the place, people, and memories that made it home.
